Learning Management System and Photoshop
La Joya photography and yearbook teacher, Heather Eaton, integrates technology in her classroom on a daily basis. For the past three years, Eaton has used a learning management system, Schoology, to provide a venue for resources, online class discussions, and student assignments. In a digital classroom where photo editing, and yearbook layout and creation are daily tasks, use of the LMS has become a necessity. Students are able to access resources and complete classroom assignments from any web-enabled device. With the heavy use of Photoshop, Schoology's ability to read working files is important for these classes. When assignments are graded, Eaton is able to provide immedate feedback in the form of assignment scores and comments.
