New General Manager Appointed
TTOM 2027 Race Week Newcomers
Inaugural Night Run We’ re excited to introduce the Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON Night Run powered by BYD, a thrilling addition to our race week lineup. Swap the sun for the stars, and feed off the energy of the Mother City as you hit the pavement after dark. Perfect as a light 8km shakeout before your Trail, Half or Ultra Marathon – or an exhilarating race all on its own. The Night Run takes place on 31 March 2027
Three Trail Distances For the first time, there will be three distances to choose from at the Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON Trail Runs powered by BYD, with the 18km distance making its debut at TTOM 2027 alongside the 12km and 24km distances. It’ s the perfect‘ in-between’ mountain challenge if you’ re looking for something softer than the Long Trail Run, but more substantial than the Short one. The Trail Runs take place on Friday 2 April.

Renée Jordaan has taken over the reins as General Manager of the Totalsports TWO OCEANS MARATHON powered by BYD, having until now been the Operations Director of the event. Her new expanded role encompasses management of all aspects of the event itself, as well as the running of the office and all operational and commercial pillars of the TTOM machine. Previous General Manager Wade Bromfield will now serve in the position of Event Director, alongside Michael Meyer.
