Exploring Near Home— The Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond, WA

My wife and I have traveled all over the U. S. and Canada and have been on Cruises abroad. Now, in our late 70s, we are looking for places to visit closer to home that don’ t require much strenuous walking.
On the way home from our kids in Mount Vernon last Thanksgiving, having tired of driving I-5, we cut over toward the Washington Coast. We have seen advertisements for the Northwest Carriage Museum in our Northwest AAA magazine for years. Since we used to have a custom-made hay wagon and a mountain( or spring) hack, we thought this would be a good time to explore their museum.
They have a wide variety of wagons. Everything from a very formal hearse to a fully restored stagecoach, and even an old postal delivery wagon just like the one my grandfather used when delivering mail near Perkins, OK. The displays were accompanied by interpretive signs
