From The Director There is little more to add that was not spoken via Porcinum Os . But I would like to emphasise the following :
Lost Sis The first large-scale cohort of alumnae has caused some to question if all our previous female pupils have been recorded by the school . This office believes not and would like to hear from any Old Girls who were taught at Win Coll , however briefly .
Trust e-Servant We have referred to it for some years as Keeping Connected , but the name has not gained much traction outside the school . What has become a fortnightly email to you all is about to get a name change : the Trust e-Servant will continue to appear in your inbox every other Friday but the e-Servant , or e-Sweater as I ’ m sure many of you will call it , will at last have a name that you can refer to . The email itself will carry details of when this change will take place .
Linking stories and photographs . Although the new style Trusty Servant allows for more faithful reproduction of photographs , there will never be enough room for the number that could accompany some of our articles and news stories . In particular , there are whole galleries of photos taken at reunions and other gatherings that are hosted on our website wincollsoc . org . Some Events to look forward to . ( See Dates for Your Diary for a full list of events . These can all be booked through our website , which will offer more detail .)
Wykeham Day on Saturday 15 th June , will include the usual highlights , such as the gun run and Cantores Episcopi singing during the afternoon . This year there will be no service in Chapel , instead there will be a service in War Cloister to mark its Centenary .
The Friends of Winchester College Drinks Party will be held on Meads on Monday 1 st July . Tickets are still available and can be purchased via our website .
Undergraduate Pizza Evenings We are planning to visit :
Bristol on Thursday 21 st November ; Exeter on Thursday 6 th February 2025 .
There will be an OW Undergraduate making arrangements , but if you would like to ensure your place , let the office know .
2024 Futures Fair Will be held in Winchester on Saturday 16 th November . All career sectors will be welcome , so if you feel you have good advice to offer to VI Book , please let the office know .
