OW Win Co Fo News
You can read plenty about the exploits of Wykehamists on College Canvas and Palmer Field in the Wiccamica section. Nevin Pot 2025 proved that the Old Wykehamists’ competitive spirit is just as alive and well as the enthusiasm for Win Co Fo.
Some Recent OW Events
Exeter University OW Pizza Evening On Thursday 6 th February, 22 Old Wykehamists met up in Exeter to enjoy a meal together, hear news from the school and catch up with each other. Particular mention should go to George Nutting for his uncompromising approach to herding OWs and to Amara Moore as the first female OW to attend one of our undergraduate pizza evenings.
On Saturday 15 th March, 13 teams competed for fun, pride and sporting success. It took 37 matches and 14 rounds to separate the competing teams.
In his first appearance in Nevin Pot, Freddie Van Every( A, 18-23) led his team of OTH campaigners to victory. Runners-up in the main draw were Nigel Day’ s team of veterans, led on the day by Paddy Sutton( G, 98-03), in their third consecutive appearance in the final.
In the Plate, first prize was taken by Felix O’ Rahilly( A, 14-19) and his team, also on their first appearance.
Our thanks go to everyone who participated, especially the captains who brought teams together on the day. Of the 13 teams that took part, six were newcomers to the tournament, which bodes well for the future. Nevin Pot will be back next year, we hope on 21 st March 2026. Start raising your teams now. § 123
