Golden Triton Society : ’ 68 , ’ 69 and ’ 70

1964
Albert L . Evans , Revelle , has enjoyed retirement with his wife , Bobbi , for the last 12 years , traveling and growing Bromeliads . Prior to retirement , he flew with the Flying Tigers Line before it was acquired by FedEx .
1968
Barbara B . Helland , Revelle , is enjoying grandkids , family , friends and traveling . She says , “ Although I majored in Spanish and ended up working in accounting , Revelle ’ s science curriculum was invaluable to understanding and supporting my husband in his engineering career at SAIC and both our daughters in their careers in the sciences .”
David M . West , Revelle , is enjoying retirement after working in sales and marketing positions for 33 years . He joined the Kiwanis Club of Tierrasanta , Calif ., in April 2014 , and has been the club secretary for the past three years . He and his wife enjoy attending concerts and going to the movies .

Angela Davis , MA , a political activist and educator , was inducted into the National Women ’ s Hall of Fame .
1971
Steven J . Marqusee , Revelle , retired as dean of arts and sciences after 43 years at SUNY Potsdam in New York . He received a PhD in anthropology from SUNY Potsdam in 1980 .
1972
Bruce T . Adornato , MD , retired after nearly 40 years of clinical private practice work in neurology . He continues to teach as an adjunct clinical professor of neurological sciences at Stanford , while also serving as medical director for a Silicon Valley startup , Core Mobility . Adornato was the very first graduate from UC San Diego ’ s School of Medicine , as degrees were presented in alphabetical order at the ceremony .
1973
Roger W . Avakian , Revelle , retired from PolyOne in Cleveland , Ohio . He had completed 44 years as an industrial chemist / polymer technologist with 84 issued U . S . patents .
1975
Mario T . Garcia , PhD , a distinguished professor of Chicano studies and history at UC Santa Barbara , wrote the book , Father Luis Olivares — A Biography : Faith Politics and the Origins of the Sanctuary Movement in Los Angeles , published by University of North Carolina Press .
1977
Benjamin S . Ambush , MFA , received The Cole Porter Arts Recognition Award from the Worcester Academy in Worcester , Mass .
