3 Volume 9 Issue 4 Dec 2016 Medicines Complete Guide M edicines Complete can be accessed via smartphone if you have an OpenAthens username and password. Athens registration is free for all hospital staff and applications for this can be made through library staff in the Rotunda Library. Once you have registered with Athens, you will receive a unique username and password which you can use to gain access to the Medicines Complete resources. The resources that are available to Athens users are the British National Formulary, British National Formulary for Children and the Injectable Drugs Guide. Medicines Complete is available on both Apple and Android devices. Accessing Medicines Complete on Apple devices Accessing Medicines Complete on Android devices 1. Open medicinescomplete.com in Safari. 1. Open medicinescomplete.com in Chrome. 2. You will be asked to sign in with a user name and password in order to gain access to Medicines Complete. Scroll down on the page and click Sign In followed by Sign In via OpenAthens. 2. Scroll down on the home screen to where there will be an option to Sign In. After this has been selected, choose the Sign in via OpenAthens option. 3. This will bring you to the screen where you will be asked to log in. Adding Medicines Complete to the Home Screen There is the option to add Medicines Complete to the Home Screen to allow for ease of access to the website if you use it to frequently gain access to a particular resource. On Android 1. Log on to Medicines Complete, tap the menu icon, select Add to Home Screen. 2. Name the shortcut. Once you have decided on an appropriate name, tap Add.
