The groundwork for this development was laid in 2013 and arose not simply as a cost containmenet excercise but as an audit of the journal resources provided by LIS to its users. This audit was undertaken in collaborative fashion by representatives of all our key departments in cooperation with the staff of those departemnts. The results of this audit was to safeguard access to our best used journals and databases and support the delivery of remote access for all users. No longer are resources physically limited to library shelves and networked PCs. The library is made available to you, the user, at your work space or home environment. Your own Athens authentication secures discreet access to our resources. If you have not registered for Athens please do so now and ensure you have the wealth of electronic books, journals and databases at your desktop. To further advise you, we have devoted this extended Winter issue of TRIMESTER to the delivery of online resources and to how you can easily access fulltext. Familiarise yourself with the holdings of your favourite journals and electronic books. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in the New Year!
