The 2018 Ambassador of the Year was Sally
Sutton of Anchored Media Marketing.
Hassenstab said he believes the ambassadors
provide guidance and leadership. He says the
chamber works to support all of its members.
“Our biggest thing is to see businesses grow,”
he said. “It doesn’t matter if they’re competing
with the same thing you do, it’s all about the eco-
nomical growth and being a part of the commu-
nity. We want to see all businesses succeed.”
While at ribbon cuttings, ambassadors
can be seen communicating not only with the
business owner but also with their families and
friends who gathered for the occasion.
Hassenstab said this is because learning
about the entrepreneur’s goals and building a
personal relationship could possibly help ease
any nervousness that person may feel.
The ambassadors themselves are like a fami-
ly, they said.
Lewis called her peers her extended family
