The chamber’s events would not be the
same if it weren’t for the presence of the
ambassadors.
Along with ribbon cuttings and
groundbreakings, the team attends Business
After Hours and Membership 101 events for
members.
“They’re the first faces that new
businesses see,” Pope said. “They’re always
celebrating our members and they’re always
friendly faces.”
Ambassadors receive points for each
event they attend. They’re mandated to be
present at four per month and as many as
10 ambassadors can appear at one event.
“There’s strength in numbers and the
ambassadors are prime examples of that,”
Pope said.
At the conclusion of each quarter, the
ambassador with the most points receives
an award from the year’s sponsors. The

Ambassadors for the Valdosta-Lowndes County
Chamber of Commerce provide support for
one another and partake in networking.
