Additionally, the SEEDS Business University pro-
vides entrepreneurial training with the focus of building
knowledge and skills for starting and operating a busi-
ness, chamber representatives said.
The Business University launched in 2010 and part-
ners with Small Business Development Center, South
Georgia Employer Committee, South Georgia Regional
Library and the City of Valdosta to share a wealth of
knowledge with business, chamber officials said.
The SEEDS Resource Center works with approxi-
mately 514 entrepreneurs and business owners yearly.
As of the end of 2019, the center has served a total of
7,118 clients.
In addition to a variety of services, the SEEDS
Resource Center hosts Young Entrepreneurs Academy,
a national program that teaches middle schoolers and
high schoolers how to start a business.
The SEEDS Resource Center currently operates
out of the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce
building.
SEEDS is open and available for assistance
8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and provides free service
regardless of chamber membership status.
