Not everything was smooth sailing in the design process. Some of the original floor plan was already set when Glen joined the project, and the staircase location created a cramped bedroom. The solution was to rethink the second floor entirely. By shifting rooms around, he created better sized bedrooms, added a proper family bath and laundry, and gave the front bedroom its own ensuite. The garage also needed a rethink. Raising the roofline not only made it look better from inside the house, but opened up space for extra storage, an EV charger, and even the possibility of adding a lift for more vehicles.
The showstopper is the third floor principal suite. It feels like a private escape with a view of the CN Tower, a spa-like ensuite, and a huge walk-in closet that honestly feels like its own little room. There is even a private terrace, which gives the whole top floor a quiet, retreatlike feeling. The lower level adds even more flexibility with a bedroom that works perfectly for a grandparent or long term guest.
