Tim Johnson has joined Ayres as a business development specialist in the St . Paul , Minnesota , office . He will identify opportunities as our Engineering Services Group – based in St . Paul and Eau Claire , Wisconsin – brings its site development and municipal engineering services to private and public sector clients in Minnesota .
Johnson has over 15 years of multi-disciplinary business development experience in the professional services arena , partnering with clients seeking architectural , civil , survey , landscape architecture , environmental , and planning services .
Johnson holds a bachelor ’ s degree in metro-urban studies with a planning focus from Augsburg College . He is active in the Economic Development Association of Minnesota and is also a member of the Sensible Land Use Coalition and the Minnesota chapters of the Association of Public Works and the American Planning Association , all based in Minneapolis-St . Paul .
GRANT WRITER ADDS TO AYRES ’ FUNDING EXPERTISE
Lisa Fugett joined Ayres as a grant writer in November , bringing 12 years of professional experience to her work securing grants from state and federal agencies and private sources . Her work includes maintaining regular contact with the staff of funding agencies and strategically planning among Ayres staff to zero in on clients ’ funding needs and opportunities .
Fugett leads grant proposal efforts and works with key staff to develop and implement grant strategies to assist clients with securing funding for their projects . She is a team leader who specializes in strategic communication and change management . She is based in the Eau Claire , Wisconsin , office .
Fugett holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University , a bachelor ’ s degree in marketing from Illinois State University , and a certificate of professional grant writing from UW-Eau Claire .
WUETHRICH ELECTED TO WI ASLA BOARD
Tiara Wuethrich has been elected to the board of directors of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects ( ASLA ). Wuethrich is a landscape designer in Ayres ’ Development Services Division . As part of our landscape architecture group , she assists on projects in the Midwest , West , Southeast , and beyond in collaboration with our economic development specialists and urban planners . She is based in Eau Claire .
In addition to being a member-at-large of the board , Wuethrich will also serve as chair of the Outreach Committee . She ’ s already taken on the responsibility for managing the state chapter ’ s social media accounts , and she would like to continue boosting the organization ’ s visibility .
Wisconsin ASLA represents more than 175 professionals , allied professionals , and students in the landscape architecture profession . As a member of the board , Wuethrich represents the concerns of the membership , assists with recruitment , and attends monthly board meetings .
Wuethrich joins Ayres landscape architects Chris Silewski and Paige Bernhardt , who are midway through their two-year terms as WI ASLA treasurer and board member-at-large , respectively . Wuethrich holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a certificate of environmental studies from UW-Madison .
AYRES WINS NATIONAL APWA AWARD
The American Public Works Association ( APWA ) has presented a national award to the High Bridge project in Wisconsin , honoring the City of Eau Claire , Ayres , and Kraemer North America . The project to save the 140-year-old bridge received the 2023 Public Works Project of the Year Award for Historical Restoration / Preservation in the small cities / rural communities segment .
The Wisconsin Chapter of APWA had presented Ayres with a 2023 Project of the Year Award in the same category earlier this year for the complex rehabilitation project completed on the High Bridge . Ayres partnered with the City of Eau Claire and
