ALVARADO PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT
Anthony Alvarado was recently promoted to vice president of Ayres ’ Western Division , taking on oversight of 40 staff . Based in Colorado , Alvarado now oversees a multi-disciplined team across the West and Midwest that provides stream , stormwater , and overall water resources engineering , along with survey and subsurface utility engineering ( SUE ).
Alvarado has been with Ayres for 23 years and was promoted to manager of the Stream and Stormwater Group at the beginning of 2021 . His project management experience includes bridge hydraulics , scour analysis , countermeasure design , hydraulic modeling , floodplain mapping and permitting , and GIS projects related to hydrology and hydraulics . He has been responsible for the hydraulic design of scour and stream instability countermeasures at sites nationwide .
Alvarado holds a bachelor ’ s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University . He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers , the Association of State Floodplain Managers ( ASFPM ), and the Colorado Association of Stormwater and Floodplain Managers . Alvarado is a registered professional engineer in Colorado , Florida , Texas , New Mexico , Nevada , and Pennsylvania , and he is an ASFPM certified floodplain manager . He has received awards for his instruction of Federal Highway Administration National Highway Institute courses .
TRANSPORTATION MANAGER NAMED IN WESTERN REGION
Bill Boltze is being promoted to manager of transportation operations in the West . The promotion takes effect January 1 and will dial up Boltze ’ s role in spearheading growth in transportation engineering and construction management services .
As a senior project manager for Ayres for the past two years , Boltze has been responsible for assembling project teams , securing projects , and supervising and training engineers and construction professionals in their professional advancement . He also manages roadway design and construction projects and provides public involvement and pre-construction meeting facilitation .
Boltze ’ s construction management experience encompasses projects ranging from flood embankment repair to major interstate reconstruction . His eight years of project experience includes major projects for the Colorado and Utah departments of transportation .
Boltze is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and Wyoming and holds a bachelor ’ s degree in civil engineering technology from Metropolitan State University of Denver .
NEW SURVEY MANAGER NAMED
Brian Glaszcz has been promoted to manager of Ayres ’ southern Midwest survey group . Based in the Waukesha , Wisconsin , office , Glaszcz oversees 17 employees . His diverse background includes fieldwork and project management in civil design , commercial development , utility mapping and maintenance , and terrestrial scanning .
Glaszcz is focusing on building Ayres ’ client base in the Waukesha and Madison offices and increasing the level of worksharing between those offices . His focus will also extend to the Southeast and the West .
Glaszcz , whose previous role was project manager , is licensed as a professional land surveyor in Wisconsin and Florida and holds a bachelor ’ s degree in industrial technology from the University of North Dakota and an associate degree in civil engineering technology from Milwaukee Area Technical College . Glaszcz is active in the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors . He is past president of the Society of Southeastern Wisconsin Land Surveyors and leads its Government Affairs Committee .
SURVEYOR ADDED IN NORTH CAROLINA
Joey Fuller recently joined Ayres ’ survey staff with experience in boundary , topographic , and control surveying and construction staking . As a professional land surveyor licensed and based in North Carolina , Fuller ’ s hiring advances Ayres ’ commitment to providing survey and aerial mapping services to the state . He has provided survey and CADD services for a decade .
