Makeover provides community, motorists
with much-needed improvements

vibrant community bordered by lakes
with a rich, fascinating history.

longer an issue after a 2.5-mile
section of the east-west highway, also
known as Janesville Road, received

major upgrades from a multi-year,
multi-agency, $17 million project. The
effort was a collaborative venture by
Waukesha County, which owns the
roadway; the City of Muskego, which
wanted aesthetic improvements;
and the Wisconsin Department of
Transportation (WisDOT), which
helped finance part of the project.
