PRIMARY CURRICULUM The Key Stage framework is the British Education Curriculum for our Year 1 to Year 4 (ages 5 years to 9 years old) and provides a broad and balanced framework for our students to learn and develop their knowledge. It consist of 3 Core Subjects which are taught daily: 1) English - Language skills are an essential foundation for success in life. We teach students to speak, read and write English fluently and accurately in a short space of time using our renowned Phonics program, Speaking and listening skills are taught to help students express themselves clearly and confidently. 2) Mathematics - Mathematics is a creative and highly interconnected discipline that provides a foundation for understanding the world. Students are encouraged to discuss, solve and try out challenges for themselves. Through practical, mental and investigative work we aim to develop mathematical skills that stay with the students for life. 3) Science - Students are encouraged to recognise the power of rational explanation and develop a sense of excitement and curiosity about natural phenomena. They understand how science can be used to explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave and analyse causes.
