The P-factor
The funny reality we often ignore is the fact that everybody wishes to be great, successful and impactful yet not everyone actually becomes great. Ideas rules the world people say but ideas not organized may result in fruitless efforts and energy. More often than not people have expressed their desire to succeed in thoughts, write ups and words yet they ended up achieving little or nothing. In some cases potential visionaries even take the most daring step on the way to success; starting and still end up getting stranded somewhere on the journey to the desired goals Why? Desires alone are never and can never be sufficient or efficient in achieving any goal in life, there is need for a constructive sighting and cognitive arrangement of this desires into action schedules hence the P-factor.
The P-factor is a self orchestrated acronym for planning, a necessary factor in success. Most frustrated and unaccomplished dreams were due to the poor initial planning by either the visionaries or the enactors of the vision. It’ s commonly said that he who does not plan, plans to fail so what is planning?
Planning is an act of formulating a program for a definite course of action. It is a conscious attempt to state and organize a set of sequential strategic steps of achieving a set goal( Julius O Akubo). Planning is important to any organization that must succeed just as it is important to any individual that must be productive. Thus it is very necessary to know how to plan with cognitive understanding of the features of a good plan.
