Jaguars - Cobras Square Off in
Battle of Two of the Area’s Top
Baseball Programs

Jaguar Baseball Team downed the Fort Pierce Central Cobras in a non-district matchup of the area’s top two base-
ball teams on Monday 7-3 at Jaguar Field in Port St. Lucie.
Port St. Lucie will host Jensen Beach on Friday at 3PM at
Tradition Field while Central plays at John Carroll on
Wednesday for a 6PM game and then travels to Vero on
Friday for a 4PM start time.

Zach Taglieri picked up the save for the Jags, throwing for
2 innings striking out 5 Cobra batters and landing 60% of
his pitches in the strike zone.
Kevin Croke and Willie Micco pitched in relief for Central.
The game saw plenty of fire power at the plate as the
teams combined for a total of 15 hits. Stewart led the way
for the Jags with two hits while Cobra Senior Sam Vaughn
had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.
Micco scored a pair of runs for Central and connected at
the plate for a hit as well. Other Cobras making contact
included Stone and Vinny Lucera.
For the Jags, Anshaw, Chris Batista, Enrique Esquivel, Dar-
ius Diaz, Chris Durden, Robert Ocasio, A.J. Alexio and Alex Port St. Lucie 10th grader Zach Taglieri was impressive all
