O
n any given Friday night during Football season
the Fort Pierce Central Marching Band breaks
from routine and starts to chant GO SHELBY, GO
SHELBY, GO SHELBY, in support of their team mate, feature Twirler Shelby Bush. The petite blond haired- blue
eyed 10th grade beauty has gained a reputation for putting on brilliant half time shows, complete with batons lit
on fire!
Golden Girl
Bush has been twirling for 7 years now. She is a leader for
22
M&M Sweeties where she trains under world class coach
Missie Liss. And she is one of the primary reasons why
other schools along the Treasure Coast have incorporated
Twirling into their band performances.
As an 8th grader at St. Lucie West K-8 she auditioned in
front of Band Director Matt Boswell (a 2014 finalist for St.
Lucie Schools Teacher of the year) and cemented her spot
on a band team that earned the school’s first Superior
Rating in 16 years.
