Imagine a talent so great that it rivals Yianni, David Lanz and David Arkenstone.

Imagine a welcome so warm that your heart just bursts. Imagine creativity oozing from every wall, window, cell, flower bed, faucet? Imagine a hug so embracing, that you feel that you have arrived and are safe after being beaten, whipped and tormented. Such was the welcome I received from MARK BARNES of MARK BARNES MUSIC, in Port St Lucie!

Sitting in the neat and modestly but artistically decorated living room, we relaxed together - Mark puts guests at ease, immediately - no ceremony and no pomp, Just Mark Barnes, the man!

As we chatted, overlooking the golf course, having toured his beautifully decorated home and manicured yard, Mark shared that his grand mother was a pianist for the silent movies and his father could read sheet music - HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN SAY THAT? Not many, I am sure! And yet this young man, with hiis clean-shaven look and tasteful tattoos, shared with me, a life and heritage of music. Of three siblings, he was the only one to have followed the path of piano-playing - and OMG! does he do it well?

I went to his home expecting an interview and what I got was a friendship! We talked about cooking, decor, steam cleaning floors, spinach salad, manicotti with gorgonzola cheese and the need to stay healthy!

Mark Barnes has been offered many gigs in night clubs, lounges and to play at special events such as weddings, however Mark Barnes does not play anyone else's music. Why should he? He is a musician and a extremely talented composer!

Multi Award winning composer and musician, Mark Barnes, ThE BaD BoY oF ChilL OuT, is set to open your third eye – musically speaking.

Barnes’ music has been featured in numerous magazines and web sites, including

EmmeK New Age and New Sounds Magazine (Dec. 2007) and AMMA AnR (Aug. 2007). He was a top 20 finalist in the instrumental category for the 11th annual edition of Unisong’s International Songwriting Contest and was the featured artist for October 2007 on the “Pulse of the Planet” radio program.

Additionally, Barnes was awarded the 2008 Independent National Artist of the year award from the Phoenix Music Awards and was a performer as well as the recipient of the 2008 Hollywood F.A. M.E. Award for Music & Cinema at the 18th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards, the 2009 Soloist of the Year Award at the 19th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards, the 2010 Composer of the Year at the 20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards and most recently the recipient of the 2010 Genre Award in Music at the Pride in the Arts Music Awards sponsored by Rainbow World Radio.
