PROMOTING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Innovation and technology are key focus areas
for TRC’s growth. This is a critical talent and
engagement focus in our 5-year strategy to accelerate
and advance a community of thought leadership,
bringing new and innovative approaches to our clients.
We recognize the benefits to and from employees
who enhance their professional capabilities and
qualifications through formal education.
Through the TRC Academy, we deliver a wide
variety of professional development and required
training courses. All new employees are enrolled
in the Academy as part of the onboarding process
and assigned required courses. They can also
access other courses throughout their careers to
maintain professional and state licenses, as well as
access continuing education courses for business
understanding, development, and enrichment.
In specific and appropriate circumstance TRC shares
or pays the cost of formal education through the
Tuition Reimbursement Program for coursework that
is directly applicable to the employee’s job function at
TRC. We also encourage membership in at least one
technical society related to an employee’s technical
specialty. TRC financially supports technical licenses
and certifications that promote individual growth and
development and also increase expertise.
In FY19 52% of our full- and part-time
employees received a formal performance
review.
