Miles for Meals 5K Employees from the Lowell, MA office laced up their sneakers for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank 2nd annual “Miles for Meals 5K.” The race is organized to benefit the MVFB’s ongoing hunger relief program and efforts. The course snaked through the city of Lowell, starting and finishing just a few blocks from the TRC office at LeLacheur Park. As a gold-level sponsor, TRC and the employees that participated raised more than $1,000 for this worthy charity. For every $1 donated, the MVFB provides $3 worth of food to needy families in the Merrimack Valley community. Jean Passes for Charity The Tulsa office was involved in a number of charitable activities throughout the year. One of these initiatives raised over $1,600 to help a local horticultural therapy organization. Many of the funds were raised through selling employee “Jeans Passes” each month for $25. This allows employees to wear jeans instead of busi- ness casual attire all week, instead of just on Fridays. Walk for Hope in Maine Employees from both TRC offices in Augusta, ME partici- pated in the Walk for Hope in downtown Augusta. It was a beautiful day to show support for a cure for cancer and join over 1,000 plus people in a great walk. The TRC team raised $625 in addition to being an event sponsor. 47
