COMMITTED COLLEAGUES Each month, we publish our Sustainability Snapshot poster in all of our offices, which includes market stories, noteworthy news, fast facts, and a committed colleague bio. These individuals exemplify our sustainability goals at work and at home and serve as a vital component to our sustainability program. Just a few of our committed colleagues are highlighted below: Diane Fitzgerald As Director – Utility Development at TRC, I am in a position to actively help our electric utility clients be more sustainable. Permitting a new renewable energy site and connecting it to the grid, ensuring the reliability and resiliency of the grid, adapting to climate change, enhancing habitat and biodiversity, efficiently routing a new transmission line, are just some ways we help our utility clients attain their sustainability goals – always keeping in mind the combined needs of the environment, the economy, and the customers they serve. Judy Herman Here at TRC, I use my experience to assist our clients with becoming more sustain- able and resilient. I believe that sustainability and resiliency should be a priority for all companies, and I have focused my career on supporting these types of efforts. I am happy to work for a company that has a vision and culture that is reflective of the pas- sion I have for developing solutions for a responsible, clean, and sustainable future. I’m lucky to be a part of TRC’s Sustainability Advisory Services Group as well as repre- senting the Colorado offices in the Sustainability Coordinator Network. Sustainability isn’t only a part of my work life; at home, I encourage my family and friends to reduce energy use, reduce waste, and conserve. Julienne Taggart I really enjoy being part of the Sustainability Coordinator Network. It has opened my eyes to many different aspects of sustainability that are important – It is not just about the natural environment but also being sustainable on an economic and social level. I believe I have become more mindful of how I conduct my work now. This past summer I was a mentor for one of the interns who participated in the Intern Sus- tainability Capstone Project. I directly oversaw the intern’s day to day tasks and was fortunate enough to attend the final Sustainability Capstone presentation in Houston. 42 2018 Sustainability Report
