- We are closing . Come back another day to finish up . - Yes , yes -I ’ ll be on my way then .
Persephone looked out the window and saw the moon shining bright outside , she rushed out of the building . Halfway down the stairs she almost tripped over the dog . He was sitting up wagging his tail holding up a book in his mouth for Persephone to take . She looked down at the book now in her hands and smiled . She caressed the pup ' s head and walked home , book in hand .

Socratic dialogue ( Socrates talking to a Gen Z )

— Socrates : Now , young one , have you ever thought about this quote : " The unexamined life is not worth living "? — Pupil : Not really . Life has been pretty good lately . There is no need to think about that if everything turns out fine . — Socrates : Well , think about this , how will a ship ever arrive if it has no destination ? — Pupil : Ahh , I know ! Just use your phone and swipe up Google Maps . — Socrates : My friend , I ' m trying to say that if one does not question , then how do they know where they are heading ? — Pupil : I don ' t know , I just go with the flow to be honest . Overthinking is not worth my time . — Socrates : Do you think that moving along with no purpose or , as you say , " going with the flow " is truly living ? — Pupil : I believe so ; I am just having fun . — Socrates : Having fun without understanding why is like eating dinner without dessert . One must search for one ' s true knowledge . — Socrates : The examined world allows you to explore everything . It allows you to seek your values , morals , relations , preferences and more . — Pupil : Okay , but what should I examine first ? — Socrates : Start with the philosophical fundamentals : Who am I ? How was the world created ? Is there a life after death ? How ought we to live ? — Pupil : What happens if I don ' t find the correct answers ? — Socrates : One who questions is never wrong . by Grace Conefrey
