" I will carry with me so many wonderful memories: the people I met, the challenges of the cold and wind, the moments spent with my wife, and the places where only the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally has taken me," Palacio Lopez reflected.
China ' s Jiangwei Shi was honoured for the Best Solo Journey, completing an extraordinary expedition across some of Asia ' s most remote landscapes. Beginning on Tibet ' s famed Highway 219, the route crossed Xinjiang before continuing through Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan along sections of the ancient Silk Road. Snow-covered mountain passes, glaciers, deserts and unpredictable weather combined to create a ride that tested both rider and machine. For Shi, the reward was simple.
" A feeling of absolute freedom, an open mind."
Perhaps the most heartfelt story came from France ' s Joel Mossand, whose journey earned Ducati ' s special award recognising the ride that best embodied the company ' s values of passion, discovery and shared experiences. Mossand rode from Clermont-Ferrand to Tunisia to celebrate his daughter Sarah ' s eighteenth birthday, with the pair continuing together through desert landscapes and historic settlements, including a memorable night spent sleeping in traditional Berber caves in Chenini.
" An unforgettable father-daughter adventure that will forever remain etched in our memory," Mossand said. family. Whether tackling remote rainforest trails aboard the off-road-focused Multistrada V4 Rally, crossing continents on sealed highways or venturing deep into the Sahara, the motorcycles served as tools for exploration rather than the focus of the adventure itself.
That philosophy has become central to Ducati ' s adventure-touring identity. Since the original Multistrada debuted in 2003, the model has evolved from an unconventional sports-tourer into one of the most technologically advanced adventure motorcycles on the market. Today ' s V4 and V4 Rally models combine Ducati ' s 1,158cc Granturismo V4 engine with longdistance comfort, sophisticated rider electronics, radarassisted safety systems and genuine off-road capability, making them increasingly popular with riders chasing global adventures.
As part of their prize, each winner receives a personalised Ducati trophy, an official accessories package, a three-day Biker Pass to World Ducati Week 2026 and entry to the Borgo Panigale Experience, offering behind-the-scenes access to Ducati ' s famous Italian factory.
More importantly, their stories will become part of Ducati ' s growing archive of rider experiences, inspiring others to point their front wheel towards the horizon. If the 2026 Multistrada V4 Voyagers competition proves anything, it is that adventure motorcycling is measured not by horsepower or kilometres alone, but by the memories created along the way. In celebrating its first century, Ducati has chosen to honour not just the machines it builds, but the remarkable people who ride them. TRAVERSE
