FAIRY MEADOWS PAKISTAN

At the foot of the ninth-highest mountain in the world, Nanga Parbat( 8,126m), lies a place so magical that it seems plucked straight from a dream. Fairy Meadows, a lush alpine plateau perched high above the Indus River in Gilgit-Baltistan, has long been a destination whispered about among trekkers, adventurers, and those chasing the sublime beauty of nature. To visit is not only to see one of the world’ s most stunning landscapes— it is to experience the heart of Pakistan’ s mountain culture.
Getting to Fairy Meadows is an adventure in itself. The journey begins in Raikot Bridge on the Karakoram Highway, the legendary road linking Pakistan to China across some of the most rugged terrain on earth. From here, the route quickly transforms from a wide modern highway into one of the world’ s most dramatic jeep tracks.
