Outside the square a similar festive feel erupted . Groups marched , beating drums , cymbals , and whatever they could lay hand on . The young and the old were together celebrating as the sounds of drums echoed throughout the streets . Alcohol was being consumed yet unlike what we are used to in Australia it all seemed in good spirits and for a common belief .
