With a design heritage that harks to the US Military of the 1960s , the Pando Moto M65 Jacket certainly looks the part , does it stack up ?
A utilitarian design gives the impression that the M65 is up to the task of adventure , and as a reincarnation of something worn by American GIs we were keen to see how it held up in the rigours of adventure riding , exploring the wilds of Nepal .
The first thing we noticed was the fit . Advertised by Pando Moto as a slim fit , it certainly was , an average sized rider of around 180 centimetres and 90 kilograms , found the M65 in the size of 2XL to be a little on the snug side although extremely comfortable .
The design is simple yet functional . Four external pockets with snap fittings did the job , the lower ones are large enough to hold essentials , multitools , wallets , phones , even thin gloves . The upper pockets were great for holding things like paperwork , wallets and the dayto-day stuff required on the road .
There ’ s also an internal pocket located on the left breast . Generally , the perfect place to hide things like cash and documents , we found it to be a little too small to fit anything much larger than a passport , an international drivers permit didn ’ t fit without being able
