Enter the spotlight : the fiery Concept F 450 GS , almost ready for production with its new inline twin-cylinder engine , capable of delivering 48 hp . It was presented here with a 19-inch front wheel , positioning it between the BMW G 310 and the F 800 / 900 , suggesting the beginning of a new model segment for the Munich-based manufacturer .
Perhaps the biggest news from the show is the significant growth of the 450cc segment , where numerous manufacturers have positioned themselves . This segment appeals both to the Dakar rally prototype engine size and , due to its relative power and affordable price , to young riders looking to upgrade from scooters .
