the border the more the landscape became dramatic . The mountains now rose sharply , ever so often a peak appeared covered in snow . Glaciers glinted suggesting the source for such rivers as the Sarda . The people too , they were different , at first subtly then more noticeable .
We had entered a region that was once part of the Tibetan empire . The stone constructions and occasional Buddhist monument a clear indication , the subtle change in facial features and stature of the people more proof . It seemed that the changes had been occurring the whole time we were on the ' nine ' yet , it wasn ’ t more apparent than when we reached the small town of Budhi ,
