training along the routes that are part of the famous marathon . We bid farewell to New York by taking some photographs of the motorbike with the city offering us a magnificent backdrop .
The journey continued southwards , touching the capital Washington and the city where one of the most important pages of the Confederation was written : Philadelphia . A visit to
Independence Hall was due ; a sober Quaker building where the declaration of independence was signed on July 4 , 1776 . But it was with our entry into Virginia and the abandonment of Interstate 95 that the part of the journey that would make every motorcyclist happy began .
The Appalachian Mountains are a 2,500-kilometre-long range that cross Canada and the United States from the island of Newfoundland in the north to the state of Alabama in the south . The Shenandoah Valley is Virginia ’ s greatest treasure ; a 320-kilometre valley flanked by the Blue Ridge Mountains on whose crest runs one of the most popular roads for bikers in North America : the Skyline Drive .
