And the coffee ? Well , the coffee ! Despite residing amongst the laneways and cafes of the selfproclaimed coffee capital of the world , here in Colombia I had been shown that self-belief is a short step to arrogance . And I ’ m sorry to say , but fellow Melburnians , unless you ’ ve ventured deep into the forests and jungles of Colombia you know extraordinarily little about coffee . Here amongst the jungles of Colombia I was provided a lesson in living among the finer aspects of
the day to day , I was taught that two small , brown beans , are a religion and something that should be worshipped with the greatest respect . I will never consume coffee or chocolate in the same way again . LW
