The initiative is a significant step forward in the fight against illegal deforestation in the Amazon rainforest and will help protect the rainforest ' s trees and nature for future generations . By the end of August 2023 , the electric off-road bikes will be fully operational and put to use , marking a new era in the fight to protect the Amazon rainforest .
Treesistance is a movement and an impact blueprint centred on the protection of primary forest in the Amazon . Launching in June 2023 as a public face to the projects led by Sinchi Foundation , a Dutch NGO that is both ANBI and CBF accredited . Its approach is Indigenous-led and backed by science . Focusing on the prevention of forest crime by training , equipping , and helping local communities protect their lands . By the end of 2023 , they will have over 1500km2 of primary rainforest under protection through their Indigenous Forest Guardians program . Their mission is to revolutionise attitudes towards climate action , how we interact with the natural world and inspire systemic change . TRAVERSE
