Crossing the mountain passes and fording the rivers a contentment fell across us all , the world seemed a different place . We ’ d been taken from our ordinary lives and into the ordinary of a different people . The contrasts were immense , the similarities sublime . Our knowledge had expanded and appreciation amplified , we all came to an understanding that we are one and the same ; a people on a journey of discovery . LW
