person tent and could easily fit all of us , so of course we offered to share ; more like a mixed dorm in a youth hostel in our western minds . A few more sips of whiskey later he did curl up inside the tent , using his jacket as a pillow .
When the sun woke us in the morning we found Ali in the nearby cafe , flip phone in hand , arranging shipping for his bike over breakfast . His dad had found a shipping company about 50 kilometres away that would take Ali ’ s bike to Ankara for a reasonable price . Now we just needed to get Aidan ’ s bike in shape to tow him there . A morning of checking and tinkering didn ' t result in much except for curious looks , lots of coffees from passing well-wishers and conversations with approving motorcyclists .
