Journey .
This lavishly illustrated diary is a light read with plenty of laughout-loud moments highlighted by the drawings , yet it ’ s more , it can be used as a travel guide and the inspiration to try some of Tasmania ’ s finest , not that it ’ s needed .
Kudelka and First Dog travelled by pushbike , probably sensible however , following their route , and tasting notes , you can put together your own spiritual journey aboard your motorcycle , and it is adventure and journey into the often unknown . Keep The Shiny Side Up Sherrie McCarthy 2020 ISBN 979-8-6486186-6-4
Keep The Shiny Side Up : A Motorcycle Adventure Memoir From Germany To Turkey & Back Again , it ’ s a long title and the second book in a series by around the world traveller , Sherrie McCarthy . Don ’ t let the title bore you , it ’ s a read worth it .
McCarthy ‘ packed in her life ’ and set out on an adventure . In Keep The Shiny Side Up , she captures the essence of motorcycle travel through a self-awareness that travelling solo can only provide . Interesting in hearing what McCarthy discovers in herself as she explores the world , Keep The Shiny Side Up does this well however , there it ends as the flow seems to faulter with a lack of detail , yes it ’ s a personal journey but more detail wouldn ’ t be missed .
McCarthy is a writer who can tell a story yet Keep The Shiny Side Up just needs a little more persuasion to truly impact the reader , this could be a motorcycle travel memoir that delivers much more . It is worth reading yet will leave you needing to know more .
