While shade is seldom , camping in Wyperfeld is plentiful with a huge area at Wonga designated to such activities with modern , well made and environmentally friendly facilities . You ’ ll need to bring your own water and firewood , a small price to pay to witness emus , kangaroos , reptiles , and dingos in their natural environment . Plant life is abundant , and given we were there after recent rains , wildflowers carpeted the area in a beautiful display of colour .

As our ride ended and we contemplated the road back home I marvelled at how the toss of a coin and a left , right march across the state had seen us ‘ lost ’. It went against my general way of travel , I need a destination , I need a plan and yet now , I was happy to ‘ get lost ’ … MG
