share it with my brother . Somewhere I could just immerse myself in the beauty and the gravity of where we had made it to on our bikes . A place to just be totally free from the stressors of life and allow myself some inner peace . This will be a place and time that will stick with me for the rest of my life .
The next day would be hands down the best days riding that both myself and my brother had ever experienced . For the trip we had constant coms between each other , but this day would just be a mix of “ wow ”, “ I have no words ” and just moments of silence as we took in the trails through the Ikara Flinders Ranges National park . Mother Nature sure painted a masterpiece in this region . We rode through to Blenheim for the night which is a quaint little town with an amazing bakery and some delicious food . A great pub also , with some camp spots out the back which is where we stayed for the night .
Again , the rain started to set in overnight which didn ’ t seem like a huge downpour , but it would turn out to be enough to disrupt the next day .
We had planned to head out to Arkaroola the next day and base ourselves out of there for a few days and hit the trails in and around that area . Well , we did make it to the beginning of the road out to Arkaroola and found another great little bakery at the start of the track , but we were then told the overnight rain had caused the road to be closed out to Arkaroola . We were forced to turn back , and we found a place to hang out and camp for the night , however things would take a dramatic turn for the worse on the ride back to what would be our camp spot .
As we slowed down to turn off the tarmac and head into the camp spot my bike ( Kramer ) decided that it wanted to stay in 5th gear and not change down . After some time on
