Mefloquine Dream DAVID FRENCH 2019 ASIN B07Y6L9LPT
Mefloquine Dream is the story of two friends riding through western Africa , that part that bulges on the edge of the Sahara Desert .
It ’ s an interesting story , in many parts , as the two deal with the effects of taking Mefloquine , branded under the name of Lariam , a drug used to prevent malaria . The numerous side effects are explored as David French and his friend , Craig ( Carey-Clinch ) head south exploring an area not often visited .
The dynamics of travelling with friends are explored as much as the landscapes and people yet , there is more to Mefloquine Dream than just this journey as we discover through a dual narrative that explores the politics of motorcycle riding and travel in Europe , we are introduced to Simon ( Milward ) and discover this ride through west Africa is to honour their friend who lost his life in Mali some years earlier .
Mefloquine Dream is a book that could be much longer , and we wanted more however , it diminishes little from the overall story that is well told and engaging . At times , a little opinionated , Mefloquine Dream is thought provoking and will have you considering the state of African affairs and how the ‘ developed ’ world deals with ‘ helping ’ others . Mefloquine Dream is well worth a read .

Lost And Found will draw you in , see you lost , and help you found amongst the remnants of the past , educate on the current situation and provide a glimmer , if not dishevelled , look for the future .
