including what she considers her greatest experience on a motorcycle , riding to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado , USA .
“ Nearly 15,000 feet ( 5,000 metres ), it was exhilarating and magical ,” she laughs again . “ Even with altitude sickness !”
We both laugh , as she continues on about riders needing to lose the attitude many often have , “ too many people seem to have a point to prove .
“ Put away the ego ,” she adds . I can ’ t help looking at the Indian and wonder if that comment was a little ironic , perhaps I ’ m missing the point .
We chat for a while longer as Chris hands me a bag , “ here ’ s some lunch for you , the guy at the café gave it to me while I was getting a coffee .”
Chris seems to have that affect , people leave notes on her bike , attract her attention , just wanting to chat , her appearance and bike have that ability .
I watch as she prepares herself for the ride away , heading towards Victoria ’ s Great Ocean Road , it ’ s like a theatrical performance , mesmerising .
“ Good chatting with you ,” Chris smiles . “ Fucking looking forward to next time .”
I wave and shake my head as she rides away , there ’ s plenty of image with this lady and bike , yet I realise
there ’ s no ego , just an unrivalled determination .
