Cagiva, the once famed Italian manufacturer of bikes, more at home racing, is set to make a return. A winner of Dakar, motocross and Grand Prix racing, Cagiva, under its most recent owner, MV Augusta is partnering with Chinese company Loncin to produce electric motorcycles although, at this stage no images are available. It's believed the bikes will be small capacity and more akin to what is required for Asian city riding, so we're not hopeful that a large capacity bike more like the Dakar (Ducati powered) Elefant will be anywhere near the horizon. It's perhaps a strange move for Cagiva who produced their last production bike in 2012, but could be a move that opens a new market and a market that seems has a strong future.
