Bags. Bags, and more bags. We’ve seen plenty of bags over the years and one we were looking forward to more than any was the Hurricane Backpack by Nelson Rigg. And it didn’t disappoint. Well, sort of. Ours is the SE-3020, that’s tech talk for the smaller 20 litre bag, and initially it looked to be the perfect smaller capacity backpack; waterproof, durable, well-fitting and comfortable to wear yet there was one issue … and we’ll come to that later. This bag came well recommended and who were we to disagree? Nelson Rigg have created a bag that looks the goods with its electronically heat welded seems, PVC tarpaulin fabric and list of features and with almost a year of on and off road testing it proved to be exactly what Nelson Rigg claim – waterproof and dust proof, even in some of the toughest natural conditions we could submit it to. Waterproof often means bulky. Yeah, we’ve all had those bags that stay waterproof via means of a roll top however, they swell with air which is almost impossible to purge, and this is where the Nelson Rigg Hurricane comes to the fore.
