olate sauce is everything you need to
enjoy the Scottish weather.
The next day we rode south and
began enjoying the warmer tempera-
tures. The West was at its best.
Danger can lurk on every turn of
the single tracks. On the A894 Mar-
tin executed an evasive manoeuvre
yet unfortunately came off the road
and slipped into the ditch. Except
for a few scratch-es on the crash bar
everything was well and with the help
of a few strong French motorcyclists,
we were able to get the GS back on
the road.
Rain, a short shower, again sur-
prised us as we arrived in Ullapool.
We ate in The Frigate Café; the
burgers and sandwiches were excel-
lent. While we finished lunch, we
realised it was getting warmer, our
thick motorcycles clothes not ideal as
