like-minded people. Just two guys
in their mid-40s on a vacation from
their wives learning the history of
the Catskills. The other couples are
hipster millennials all off doing their
own thing – maybe they were playing
Alien Autopsy?
I pull out the guest book in my
room and quickly determine that
guests to Kate’s Lazy Meadow are a
fun loving bunch. Just like the motel,
the notes left are equally eccentric
and fun to read. For example, one
Christian couple complained about
it being god’s destiny to send them to
stay in this motel for the night - he
referred to it as the den of shame!
And then there are the others who
love the alien theme and insist they
stay in Suite 3 every time they come.
They claim it helps them find the un-
known. Whatever that means.
The guest book makes an inter-
esting alternative to the standard
Gideon’s bible and very entertaining
bedtime reading.
