US Customs and Immigration: “Passport” I dutifully turn off my bike and hand over my passport and she fol- lows with “Where are you from?” Me: “Ottawa.” US Customs and Immigration: “How long will you be staying?” Me: “50 days.” US Customs and Immigration: “Really. What is the purpose for your visit?” Me: [Gulp] “I am going to travel America to explore the country of fifty of her remaining motels.” US Customs and Immigration (looking in complete disbelief and like I’m half nuts): “Where will you be staying?
