AIR NEW ZEALAND
Vietnam Airlines has
recently introduced its
4-star on-ground and inflight services for Business
Class, focusing on long
routes from Vietnam
to foreign countries
such as the UK, France,
Australia, Japan and Korea.
On-ground services are
upgraded, offering business
travelers more privileges:
Customer Data, Business
Class check-in boo th,
Business Class waiting
room, Boarding services;
facilities and furnishings in
Business Class on board.
Air New Zealand has
informed to open a new
direct route from New
Zealand to Ho Chi Minh
City. From June 2016, Air
New Zealand will operate
direct flights on this route
three time a week. Boeing
767-300 aircraft will be
used for the route and
the flight time is about 11
hours. This seasonal route
will operate until October
2016 and will be extended
to the next year. Vietnam
is a popular destination; the
number of visitors from
New Zealand has increased
20% over the past year.
As planned, the flight
route Can Tho - Nha
Trang will operate from
December 10th with three
round-trip flights a week,
on Tuesday, Thursday
and Sunday. The flight
will depart at Can Tho
international airport to
Nha Trang at 15:05 and
the return flight will depart
at 17:00. Each flight takes
1 hour and 15 minutes.
The aircraft used for these
flights is ATR-72 (67 seats).
This route is operated by
Vietravel in cooperation
with Vietnam Air Services
Company (VASCO).
Besides, Viettravel and
Vietjet Air will reopen their
Can Tho - Bangkok route
this Tet holiday.
LONDON
Prime Minister
Nguyen Tan Dung has
recently approved the
third phase of a project
on the conservation and
sustainable management
of natural resources in
the Phong Nha-Ke Bang
National Park in central
Quang Binh province,
which is being funded by
the German Government
through non-refundable
official development
assistance of £ 2 million
($2.13 million). Apart from
improving livelihoods and
conserving biodiversity,
the project identifies
solutions for strengthening
cooperation between
Phong Nha-Ke Bang and
the Hin Nam No Protected
Area (Laos). Human and
financial resources will be
supplemented to improve
information exchange
to minimize the dangers
to important natural
resources in both areas.
From November 1st
2015 to December 31st
2016, Taiwan is introducing
its new trial policy on
visas for high-class tourist
groups from five countries:
Vietnam, Philippines,
Thailand, Indonesia and
India. Accordingly, groups
of five or more people will
receive free visas if they
join tours organized by
designated travel agencies
or corporations that send
their personnel on holidays
as incentives or reward.
After the trial time, Taiwan
will consider the result
and give the final decision
over whether to apply this
policy.
The Department
of Culture, Sports and
Tourism Halong has
recently kicked off a new
campaign named "Smiles
of Halong". During the
campaign, each Quang
Ninh citizen from senior
leaders to ordinary citizens
is a tourism ambassador
who always welcomes

guests with sincere
smiles and hospitality.
All behaviors such as
unsettled sales, bothering
visitors, selling fake goods
and increasing prices are
strictly prohibited. "Smiles
of Halong" provides rules
and regulations as well
as civilized behaviors
for organizations and
individuals in tourism
industry, locals and
tourists.
A British tourism
company has introduced
its new service that allow
visitors to London to go
sightseeing around the
city by Abbot - a17-ton
former Army tank used in
the 1960s. It's surprisingly
exciting to see famous sites
such as Big Ben Tower,
the Houses of Parliament
and Trafalgar Square
from the top of the tank.
Although these tanks have
been used since the1960s,
they are still bomb and
bulletproof. Therefore, this
is considered the safest
tour in Britain. The tour
costs £1,500 (USD2,200)
for three hours.
To protect tourists
against acts of stealing and
fighting, provincial leaders
of Phuket - Thailand have
opened service centers to
ensure safety for tourists.
The service centers will
be available for visitors
on popular beaches in
3 districts of Phuket to
enhance safety and security
throughout the day. In
Muang District, the centers
will be located in Kata,
Karon, Nai Han, Yanui
Beach and Koh Racha,
Koh Hae, Koh Mai Ton
Island. In Kathu District,
the there will be service
centers on Patong, Kamala,
Kalim and Traitrang Beach.
In Thalang District, the
centers will be located on
Mai Khao, Nai Thon, Nai
Yang, Bang Tao, Surin,
Layan, Sai Kaew Beach and
Koh Nakha Island. These

service centers are expected to begin
operating this December.
International visitors to Viet Nam
in November estimated 732,740
arrivals, increasing 12.9% over last
month and increasing 20.4% over
the same period last year. Visitors
mainly travel to Vietnam by plane.
Particularly, the number of tourists
from Spain, Germany, England and
other European countries, which
are exempt from visas, increased
2-10% over the same period last year.
According to Viet Nam National
Administration of Tourism, with this
growth, especially in last months of
year, the number of international
visitors to Vietnam can be 7.87
millions more than last year or higher.
Nguyen Phuc Chu street in Hoi An
(Quang Nam) becomes a new walking
street from December 3rd to serve
the visiting needs of home and foreign
tourists. The street operates from
8:30am to 11:00am and from 3:00pm
to 9:30pm (summer)/9:00pm (winter).
This street is located on the south of
Hoai river - at the opposite side of
the ancient town that spreads along
An Hoi Sculpture Garden and attracts
many tourists, especially at night. A
ticket counter is also placed on this
street to sell tickets and provide
information to visitors. Visitors can
park their vehicles on Cao Hong Lanh
street, the intersection of Nguyen
Phuc Chu - La Hoi - Cao Hong Lanh
or at the Phu Dong Primary School.
The project of "pedestrian and
non-motor vehicle streets" has been
launched since 2004, becoming the
typical cultural product of Hoi An and
contributing greatly in the promotion
of culture - tourism of the town.
Rome has banned centurion
impersonators who charge to scowl in
photos around the ancient Colosseum
amphitheatre. Many tourists have
