FURTHER INFORMATION
WINTER IS NOT COLD
Living in the severe weather of winter, Korean people have
thousands of ways to enjoy the coldness. Immersing yourself
in hot springs is one of greatest ways to rest and warm up
your bodies. There are various hot springs well-developed in
Korea from the ancient hot springs with hundred years of
history in Asan and Sokcho to modern ones equipped with
spa and healthcare services in Seoul. Spend your winter in
warmth and have fun while indulging in mineral pure water
whose temperature can up to 50 degrees Celsius.
Your journey will be incomplete if you don’t stroll down
streets and explore the beauty of Korea. You will never feel
the cold as there are many hot aromatic dishes waiting for
you. If you walk along busy streets in Korea, it’s easy to
find a smoky bowl of Tteokbukki and Kkochi Eomuk
(skewered fish cake) sold by vendors. Nothing else
could be better than enjoying the spicy taste of
soft and sticky Tteokbukki and warming up with
Kkochi Eomuk dipped into soy s auce and a bowl of
radish and kelp broth.
Your freezing hands will immediately warmed up
with a bag of baked sweet potatoes and roasted
chestnuts while delicious cakes filled with red
bean paste such as Bungeoppang and Hoppang
are always ready to satisfy your stomach. Treat
yourself with these mouthwatering snacks and
you will never feel cold in Korea this winter.
