No journey to Barcelona would
be complete without visiting the
unparalleled architectural works
of Antoni Gaudi, a saint here.
Gaudi’s style is everywhere!
Nothing could be better than
watching Flamenco after having
enjoyed some delicious paella.
When we are searching for an
ideal location, we come across a
long queue of people lining up
in front of a small bar. The bar
is quite simple, lit in little red
lights. As a curious visitor, I wait
for hours to buy a 20 Euro ticket,
and I isn’t disappointed, “how
captivating!” I would wait just as
long for the performance even if
the ticket price were double what
it was. Within only half an hour,
the performance is under way, all
the strength of the singers’ voices
along side their fierce dancing. It is
truly an unforgettable experience.
My overall impression, though
difficult to pin down, is that I find
Spanish people, with their distinct
Mediterranean temperament, very
attractive and friendly.
It is sunny in the morning on our
last day in Barca, and we consider
it an invitation for us to come back
to the Catalan capital again one day.
Goodbye Barcelona! Goodbye Spain!
