known for its lack of English. Surprisingly though, they don’t speak Spanish here as well! Their language is Catalan, which shares common roots with Spanish. In fact, Barcelona is one of four Catalan cities, and is an autonomous community within Spain, which is easily recognizable by all the Catalan flags flying throughout the city. The breathtaking beauty of Barcelona is apparent, whether it is regarded from the colorful sunsets at Barcelona’s harbor, while shopping in the middle of bustling La Rambla, or admired from the imposing architecture of Sagrada Familia Church. Visiting Barcelona on an autumn day, we hope that the sun will greet us and that the weather will be much more beautiful than Paris, where we have been living. My friend claims that the weather in Barcelona is quite similar to Vietnam’s, and that it rarely rains in autumn. However, Barcelona greets us with rain showers, not too heavy but enough to dampen our forecast and eager W
