Immigrants in Arizona

Overtime, Arizona has become a place for escape. Immigrants from all over the world have come to not only have a bit of more "freedom", but as well as better opportunities; especially Hispanics. Though because of the great number of immigrants transferring over to the United States, the Arizonan community has taken decisions that have made a great impact on the lives of the immigrants. A report by the federal government estimates that the number of illegal immigrants living in Arizona has fallen by 200,000 since 2008. That's a lot!

Overall, the taken decisions have not only forced the immigrants to leave the United States, but has also reduced their amount of freedom and pushed them to set limitations for themselves. The most common limitation turns out to be traveling. That's a problem.

Most of the time, people seem to look at the problem the immigrants are facing and think it's no big deal. They dont see how the everyday lives of the immigrants are being affected. The future of the Immigrant parents and children all lie in danger. Everyday, when the parents go out into the streets to work, they put themselves at risk for getting caught, especially if they live under the stereo type of the brown skin color. If they do get caught, the family is seperated, and from here, all there is is suffering. Though from the point of view of others, this isnt such a big issue not only because it doesnt concern them, but because it doesnt have a major effect on them like it does to the immigrants. Upcoming, is a poem from the point of view of a child. He sees the world through his window. He expresses what his neighbors go through and this poem overall puts you in the boys shoes to see what immigrants all over Arizona face everyday.
